• Online Registration for Ship Tours during Fleet Week

    New this year, U.S. Navy and Coast Guard ship tours during Fleet Week Port Everglades, April 27-May 2, will be open to people who pre-register online at www.browardnavydaysinc.org. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis and is limited to online registration only. Registration will close on April 24 or sooner (when all available spaces are reserved).    

    Humana Military Healthcare Services is partnering with Broward Navy Days to present the week-long Fleet Week.  This year¡¦s participating ships are:

    • Dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) from Little Creek, Va.
    • Guided missile destroyer USS Forrest Sherman (DDG 98) from Norfolk, Va.
    • Coast Guard cutter USCGC Tahoma (WMEC 908) from Portsmouth, N.H.
    • Submarine USS Toledo (SSN 769) from Groton, Conn.
    • Canadian auxiliary oiler replenishment ship HMCS Preserver (AOR 510) from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

    Tour Registration Process:

    • Register online at http://www.browardnavydaysinc.org
    • Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. 
    •  The site asks for your name, date of birth, gender, address, e-mail and last four digits of social security number.
    • Children under 8 years of age are not permitted on the ship tour.
    • Select a specific ship and time slot. The website will reflect available tour times.
    • You will receive an e-mail reservation.
    • Print out the e-mail reservation and bring it with you to the port, along with a picture ID (federal or state identification, i.e. driver¡¦s license, passport)
    • Plan to arrive 30-45 minutes prior to your tour time. Traffic at the port is expected to be heavy.  

    Walk-ins will not be permitted for ship tours.
    Online registration is required.

    Ship Visit Information

    • For safety purposes, pants and flat, rubber-sole shoes are required (sneakers recommended).
    • No high heels or flip-flops.
    • Oversized bags are discouraged as visitors will need to climb up and down very narrow and steep stairs/ladders in the ships.
    • Cameras and camcorders are permitted.  
    • No weapons are authorized (including Swiss Army type knives).
    • Ships are not handicap accessible; therefore visitors must be in good physical condition to navigate the steep stairs/ladders.  
    • Restroom facilities are limited on and off the ships. A few portable toilets near the ships and two restrooms in the Terminal 24 holding area will be available.
    • All vehicles must park in the Mid-Port parking Garage. Parking is $6 for up to five hours.
    • Tour guests will have to pass through airport-style security screening and all bags will be checked.

    Entry to Port Everglades

    • Visitors are encouraged to enter Port Everglades from I-595 through the Eller Drive Entrance.
    • Picture ID (federal or state identification, i.e. driver¡¦s license, passport.) and e-mail reservation required at the gate.
    • Proceed east on Eller Drive (becomes SE 10th Ave) toward Terminals 21-26 to another checkpoint, where guards will direct visitors to parking.
